An MSR floor mat is included to protect the tent floor from humidity and abrasion. It also permits a "light" setup if you want, with only the floor mat and the flysheet (no inner tent).

The Valandré brand is known all over the world for the quality of their sleeping bags, used for example in alpinism. The company is located right near us in the village of Belcaire (Aude), so we decided to enjoy great local gear.

For hygiene reasons each sleeping bag is rented with a liner (to insert inside) that is washed after each use.

ALCOHOL STOVE + COOKING SET

Here is a perfect kit to cook when hiking and camping :

– A Trangia alcohol burner + A Tatonka stand = an efficient, easy to use, light and compact alcohol stove. The fuel needed is methylated spirit.

– A Decathlon inox cooking set, convenient and compact for 2 persons and including plates and cutlery.

When disassembled everything fits into the pot and weighs less than 800g.

  • Trangia alcohol burner : 110g. Built in brass. Allows to transport the methylated spirit inside thanks to a jointed cover. There is also a flame reducer to adjust the power and to turn off the stove. The water is boiling in about 10 minutes. Autonomy : 25 minutes. Fill 2/3 of the burner with methylated spirit (about 5 cl).
  • Tatonka stand : 120g. Built in stainless steel and with 3 detachable legs.
  • Decathlon cooking set : 560g. Built in stainless steel. Includes a pot with a folding handle and a colander cover, plates and cutlery for 2 persons.
